Carousel is another type of children's attraction, which is popular no less than a swing.
If you have a private house with adjoining territory, you can make a carousel with your own hands. This is not difficult at all.
This will require improvised materials: pipe cuts, boards and plywood. You will also need to get a car hub (at a metal reception or in a neighbor’s garage).
First of all, we do the marking on a plywood sheet, and then with the help of a manual milling cut out a circle of the desired diameter. The edges then also need to be processed with a mill.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, we knock down the boards in the shield (or you can glue it). We make the marking and cut out a circle similar in diameter to a circle of plywood.
In the center, you need to make a hole for the rack, which is a round steel pipe.
Glue a sheet of plywood to a wooden board. Then in it you will also need to make a hole in the center.
Next, the author cuts four corners, weld them to a piece of pipe. A wheel bearing must be welded to the other end of the pipe, and a stand to it.
After this, it remains only to install the carousel base on the rack and weld the handrails to the rack.
