THE SECOND LIFE OF THE STOOL

It so happens that over the years the furniture wears out and loses its appearance. In this article we will try to give a new life and design look to an old stool. From the materials we need:
-PVA glue;
Woolen thread
- brush;
-material, square meter, in our case, velor was used.
In order for the composition to turn out to be integral, it is desirable to observe the color scheme.

We take an old stool. It must be wiped from dust or greasy stains, in which case the glue will lie smoother.
First step. It is necessary to cut out rectangular pieces of fabric to close the convergence points of the crossbars, since it will not be convenient to trim them with thread. They are fastened quite simply, on the wrong side they are lubricated with a thin layer of glue. It will turn out more accurately if the rectangles are slightly larger and slightly protrude on the leg.

Step two, decorate the legs and crossbars. A thin layer of PVA glue is applied to the entire leg. It is important to observe the proportions, the layer should be such that the thread on one side is fixed, but not completely saturated and retains its appearance.

Further, starting from the very top, we begin to wrap the leg. This is a very painstaking process, you need to try not to leave large gaps and control so that all sides are proportional, even. When the entire leg is wrapped, the thread should be cut and secured with glue from the inside.

In the same way, you need to do with all the legs and crossbars, and then give them a little time to dry.
After the process of decorating the legs is completed, we proceed to the decoration of the upper part of the stool.

It is necessary to cut out material that corresponds to the area of the upper part of the stool, leaving about 2 centimeters on the sides. The allowance should be 1 cm larger than the height of the seat.

The entire surface from the wrong side is treated with PVA glue. Again, the layer should be thin, it is highly undesirable for the fabric to get wet. You can try to put glue on the stool, and after that apply the fabric, but in this case it will not be so firmly stuck.

After the surface is processed, the fabric is evenly applied to the stool. The edges are bent and glued already to the lower, invisible part.

Corners can be cut when the main plane is already fixed, and cut gently lay one on top of the other. In this case, the stool will look complete and pleasing to the eye.

After completion of work, it is best to take the stool to the balcony, or to fresh air and let it dry completely for about a day.
Such an elegant stool will attract a lot of attention and will delight guests with its originality.
