Everyone wants to have beautiful, cozy and practical things in their home, and if they are also made by your own hands, then this is simply magical. Add to your space such a cute little thing, like a rug of pompons. They are very soft, warm and comfortable, and to make them yourself is not at all difficult, you just want to.
So, let's get ready, and collect all the necessary materials in the work.
For this we need:
• pen or pencil
• sharpened scissors
• thick paper or cardboard
• pattern for drawing a circle (for example, a circle)
• thick threads pleasant to you or suitable for the design of the room color
• big needle
• fabric for the base (it should be dense, slanting inlay (optional).
Now you can start the process.
First, think about what size and shape you want. Be sure to make a sketch, dream a little.
Secondly, we need to make many, many pompons. To do this, we need to cut out two identical blanks from thick paper. Take two sheets of cardboard or thick paper, draw a circle on them with the help of our improvised pattern, and inside there is another circle, but smaller (it is very convenient to use a compass for this). Next, cut out our resulting rings. Now we pass a thick thread into a large needle, and begin to wind it around in circles around our rings, immediately two folded at the same time. You can do this simply by hand, but when there are already a lot of threads on the template, it will be more difficult for you. When the center is almost completely filled with wound threads, cut the thread and continue to the next step. Take sharp scissors and carefully cut the threads, passing the blade along the edge, between the two patterns. Take a small dense thread and pass it between the paper circles and tightly knit to tighten together the threads that are on the ringlets. The ends of this thread do not need to be cut, they will still be useful to us. Carefully remove the templates. Everything - the pompom is ready. You can proceed to the next one, and so on, until there are as many of them as we need, so that the rug matches our sketch.
Another great option is to wind the threads on the legs of the chair.

When you are finished with pompons, take a thick fabric (it can be jeans, felt or any other thick fabric) Using the image on our sketch, cut out the shape you need in two copies.

Using the “ponytails” from the pompons and a large needle, fix them on one of the two pieces of fabric in the order you like, but in such a way that they hold tightly to each other.
Now we put the second half down to close sloppy nodules from the fastening of the pompons and sew along the edges, treating with an oblique trim. You can also crochet. If you don’t have dense fabric in your arsenal, you can also knit a blank yourself. And if you take a creative approach, you can add paws, a head to such a rug, a cute animal will come out. Or if the mat is round, you can make rays or fringe at the edges.

A flower, a sun, anything, everything here is limited only by a flight of fancy.
