To make a flower we need:
- leather;
- acrylic paint on the fabric (gold and silver);
- scissors;
- glue or glue gun;
- a piece of foam;
- feathers;
- a candle;
- a piece of cardboard;
- marker.
To start, I cut out 3 forms of cardboard, which will later be the petals of a flower. I made a small, medium and large form.
Then circle these petals on a piece of leather. Do the biggest petals the most. All the rest, depending on how lush the flower you want.
Tip. It is better to trace the petals with a marker, the ballpoint pen draws well on the skin only at the very beginning, then the ball is clogged with a pile and the pen refuses to write. (On the middle petal it is clear that I painted it all the time).
In the figures it is clear that the pen stroked some petals well, and then refused to draw.
All neatly cut out. Do not mix heaps.
On the candle we burn the edges of the petal. Do not let the leaf be bent too much.
We make the basis for the flower. We will glue the petals on it.
In a chaotic manner, we stick the petals. Make sure that there are no spaces between the leaves.
When one layer of the petals is already pasted, with a sponge we apply gold paint to them. It is best to use acrylic on DECOLA fabric. Do not apply paint over the entire petal. You just need to "mess up." When you work with acrylic, it is best to adjust the newspaper or oilcloth on the table, otherwise it will be problematic to wash the paint.
When the large petals are pasted, we begin to glue the middle ones in the center. Glue all the leaves to the center without any indentation. Again, we decorate everything with gold paint. Glue the last, 3rd row of small petals. The top leaves are painted with white and gold paint. To do this, use the same piece of foam.
The next step we need to again cut a circle of leather, generously grease it with super glue and stick feathers to it. You do not have to glue them all over, you can only do it on one side.
As the last step, we attach a piece of leather with feathers to the bottom of the flower, and decorate the middle of the flower with any round button, old plaque from boots or sweatshirts, or simply pour glue into the middle of the beads and let dry. All the flower is ready. If you have a flower, in which the leaves look in different directions during firing, then the inside of each leaf is abundantly smeared with PVA glue and shaped. When the petals are completely dry, they can be attached to the bag.
