For the manufacture of such a card, you do not even need scrapbooking paper, we will do everything on our own, and even get a lot of fun!
Materials that are needed for work:
- The basis for postcards (thick paper, cardboard, Whatman paper),
- A small (approximately 8x8 cm) piece of cardboard,
- Gifts of nature: twigs, dried flowers, petals and leaves - all that is found,
- an unnecessary sponge,
- A pen, pencil or stick on which you can attach a piece of sponge,
- stationery knife,
- Scotch
- scissors,
- Ribbons, ribbons or other decorations,
- Paints,
- Glue.

Let's get started. First, prepare a stencil, with the help of which we can easily make an excellent background for a postcard. We take a piece of cardboard (about 8x8 cm) and draw a silhouette of a bird on it (or something else, your imagination will tell you). You should not draw intricate figures with many details, as this will complicate the cutting process, and in the end the smallest details will still not be visible. The best option is a simple, concise and easily recognizable silhouette.

Next, laying an oilcloth or a stack of unnecessary paper, cut out the figure. It should be cut clearly along the drawn line, because we will need both the inside and the outside.

Next, we will make an impromptu “brush” with which we will paint over the background. To do this, cut a small piece from the sponge and use tape to fasten it to a pen, pencil or wand.

Now take the inside of the template, apply it to the base for the postcard and begin to draw paint around the outline. We do this several times, filling the figures with all the space and filling in the empty spaces between the silhouettes.

When this step is finished, move on to the next. We take the outer part of the template and likewise draw a silhouette.

The result is such a peculiar background for a postcard.

The last stage is decoration. Here, give free rein to the imagination, abandoning all sorts of patterns!

I wish you success in your work and inspiration!
