So, without too much work, you can run your own propeller into the sky. Pretty interesting game. As part of several people, you can arrange competitions and have a good time ...
For building flying propeller we will need:
Wood block about 20 cm long and one and a half centimeter thick.
Axis of rotationI, also from wood, can take a pencil.
Drill with a drill. The diameter of the drill should be slightly smaller than the diameter of the axis.
Glue. Great for PVA.
Knife.
Ruler in inches.
In the center of the block, mark the center and drill a hole for the axis.
Take the knife. Be extremely careful when performing this stage of work - try not to inflict cuts and injuries!
Try to give the most proper shape to the propeller blades. Do not forget about symmetry about the axis of rotation. Remember that the thinner the blades you carve, the easier your propeller will be. A lighter propeller takes off more easily, but is less inert and more susceptible to wind. Try to keep the balance of the thickness and weight of the propeller. The axis of rotation should be of sufficient thickness so as not to break from starting, but the excess thickness is useless. The length of the axis of rotation should be 20-25 centimeters. The axis can be glued to the blades and secured with a button on the top for reliability.
Starting a propeller is easy enough. It is necessary to clamp the axis between the palms, scroll it and in the end release the twisted propeller.
If you wish, you can paint your propeller to your taste using ordinary felt-tip pens or paint.
This is what the correct launch looks like:
Have a good launch!
