Rugs that are crocheted are a fairly common thing, and it is knitted by almost everyone who is fond of knitting. But in this manufacturing process, you can find your own zest and interest. For example, if you need a gift for a housewarming party or the so-called "guest", so as not to go empty-handed to visit friends or neighbors. You can knit such a rug quite quickly, but so that it does not seem rustic, we will make it not just a rug, but a cloak for sitting a stool chair or chair.
We use acrylic yarn to provide wear resistance. In this case, a rather thick half-woolen or acrylic Karachai yarn and hook N5 will be appropriate. We use a single-color thread, but this is not a dogma, if there is an interesting option for combining threads, then use melange. And if the gift is intended for a girl, then we will knit a rug of soft pink yarn, and the rug will resemble strawberry marshmallows.
We collect the initial chain of 4 loops and connect them into a ring. We knit the first row in the ring, doubling the initial number of loops. Then we knit seven rows with double crochet evenly adding loops so that we get an even flat circle. On the 8th row we knit arches, which consist of 5 air loops. We knit arches through one loop of the bottom row. Having completed the circle, we raise the knitting by 3 air loops and knit the next row of air loops, connecting all the arches. We knit 3 air loops between the arches, then loop in the arch, then continue by repeating the repeat * 3 vp, 1 st. Without crochet in the arch of the previous row *.
We complete the circular row above the arched row, raise the knit by 3 air loops to go to the next circle and continue to knit with crochets until the end of knitting, that is, until the ball of yarn ends. Out of 50 grams of acrylic Karachai yarn, a mat with a diameter of about 52 cm was obtained.
In addition to the lace insert in knitting, we add another highlight to our rug. We use thick white yarn. Using a hook, we stretch one thread along the entire contour of the openwork insert. We tie a small bow and a strong bow knot.
We stretch the second thread along the contour edge of the mat and also tie a bow. To prevent the bows from being untied, you can fix them with several inconspicuous stitches with a regular thread.
Here we have a pink-marshmallow rug or a small round chair cover.
I wish you creative success!
