Materials and tools:
- a square piece of white paper measuring 7.5 cm x 7.5 cm;
- a piece of black paper measuring 15 cm x 7.5 cm;
- a small piece of green paper (for the middle);
- scissors;
- pencil pen;
- office glue or PVA;
- ruler.
Step by step instructions with photos
Cut the blanks
From a sheet of white paper we cut a square measuring 7.5 cm x 7.5 cm. I took for this purpose a single-sided colored paper of blue color, but there is nothing to worry about. After all, her other side is white!
From a sheet of black paper, cut out a rectangle measuring 15 cm x 7.5 cm. I used thick black double-sided paper for this, but the usual single-sided one would do.
Make the top
We take a square piece of paper and fold it in half diagonally with the white side up.
We unfold the paper and fold it in half in the opposite direction diagonally.
Leave the sheet bent diagonally. We take a ruler and a pen / pencil and divide the left side of the triangle into 3 equal parts.
Raise the lower right corner up and fold in the direction from the central point of the lower side to the upper third of the left side of our triangle.
In the same way, we bend the lower left corner upward from the center point of the lower side to the upper third of the right side of the triangle. At this stage, you must act extremely carefully and carefully, since the angles bent up can be located asymmetrically. If this happens, we straighten the side folds and align them so that they are located to each other as symmetrically as possible.
We lift the lower corner of the homemade up and apply it to the central intersection point of the left and right corners. We smooth out all the folds along the lines with a ruler or a pencil.
We straighten the paper completely. In its central part, we should form a regular hexagon.
Fold the paper to one side located inside the hexagon and iron the even fold. After that, the paper is straightened again.
Repeat the above step with all other sides of the hexagon.
Add the right side of the square to the nearest side of the hexagon.
The left side of the square is folded in the same way to the nearest side of the hexagon.
We bend the lower edge of the resulting figure upward along the lower side of the hexagon.
Add the remaining three sides of the hexagon towards the center.
Turn over homemade. We should get a figure in the shape of a regular hexagon (see photo below).
Making the middle
From a piece of green paper, cut out a rectangle of approximately 1 cm x 0.5 cm.
Using glue, glue this piece into the center of our hexagon.
We make the side part
Now we will work with a black rectangle measuring 7.5 cm x 15 cm, which we cut earlier.
Fold this rectangle twice in length.
On the right side we measure with a ruler exactly 1.5 cm.
Draw a line with a pencil.
Coat this area with any available paper glue.
We put the left edge of the paper on its right edge smeared with glue. We wait until the glue dries a little.
Divide the upper side of the figure into three equal parts. At the designated points, bend the paper up.
Straighten homemade. Align and smooth the edges of the figure with your fingers so that they are all neat and symmetrical.
Collecting origami sushi
We take the previously made top with the center glued in the center and the side part in the shape of a black hexagon. In the middle, we glue the corners protruding at the bottom and glue them to the side on its inside.
Origami sushi made of paper with your own hands! Good luck to you crafts!
