Superglue widely used in everyday life (Moment superglue) is made on the basis of cyanocrylate. If it gets on your fingers, it can immediately glue the skin and causes certain difficulties when washing. When this glue gets on the fabric of clothing, a hard, hard-to-remove stain of a whitish color forms. Let's look at a few ways to get rid of superglue stains.

Method number 1

We will need acetone or liquid based on it to remove nail polish. It is also necessary to have a regular cosmetic cotton swab (you can replace it with a white cotton cloth).

Wet the glue stain on the clothes with acetone or nail polish and wait 15 minutes. After that, we moisten the swab or cloth and rub the glue stain. Gradually, the fabric in the area of the superglue stain softens and the stain disappears. If once is not enough, you can repeat the procedure.

Method number 2

The second method is based on the thermal destruction of the superglue stain on a cotton cloth. To do this, we need an iron and a piece of clean gauze measuring 50 x 50 cm.

Fold the gauze 4-5 times and cover it with a glue stain. The area of the gauze folded several times should exceed the area of the working surface of the iron. We set the temperature regulator of the iron in the middle position (cotton fabrics) and iron the area of the glue spot several times. We make visual control and iron again if the stain, or part of it has not disappeared.

Method number 3

If superglue accidentally gets on a different surface (wood, metal, glass, plastic, etc.), it can be removed using a special solvent. For this, we need a 50% or 70% solution, freely sold in pharmacies, dimexide or dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). As well as a clean cloth or cotton swab to remove particles of dissolved glue.

Dimexidum is moistened with dried parts of glue on any surface. It is necessary to show endurance and wait at least 1 hour. Then with a cotton swab we remove the particles of dissolved glue. If necessary (large heel of glue), we repeat our actions until a clean and smooth surface is obtained.

Findings

With some effort, we can always remove durable and practically insoluble superglue from the surface of clothes or furniture and other items. For work with solvents, it is advisable to have thin rubber gloves. The room must be aired.
