In this review, the author shows how to make a do-it-yourself water pump with your own hands. It can be used for pumping water from one tank to another or for watering in the country.

For the manufacture of the pump, an electric drill and a plastic sewer pipe with a diameter of 50 mm will be required.

The first step is to cut off a piece of PVC pipe of the required length.

At one end, the author drills holes into which he inserts a hairpin. Then a U-shaped plate is attached.

The main stages of work

In a plastic plug for a 50 mm pipe, you need to drill a hole for the fitting. We insert its hole, and fix the clamping nut on the back of the plug.

Then it will be necessary to cut off another piece of sewer PVC pipe.

Next, insert two pieces of pipe and a plug into the tee. Be sure to use rubber sealing rings.

At the next stage, the master cuts the impeller from a piece of sheet metal. We put the impeller on a hairpin with a diameter of 8 mm, and fix it with nuts on both sides.

After that, it remains only to assemble the entire structure. Everything is simple: we insert a hairpin with an impeller at the end into the cartridge, and then we put a plastic pipe on the neck of the drill.
