In this review, the author shows a rather unusual, but at the same time simple way, how to make a hole in the glass.
And you can make not only a round, but also a square or triangular hole (in general, any shape).
Holes can be made in any glass, including tempered and automotive, and in any part of the glass, which is very convenient.
Only sandblasting and patterns of a suitable shape will be required. They can be made from a piece of thin metal or tin.
The main stages of work
It is desirable to put a piece of glass on a smooth surface - in this case, the author uses a stainless steel sheet as a substrate.
It is advisable to carry out work on the street, and before starting work, it is necessary to wear personal protective equipment: glasses, a respirator and gloves.
We apply the pattern to the glass, press it with our fingers, and using the sandblasting we “cut out” the hole. The edges can then be treated with sandpaper.
