In this review, the author decided to conduct an experiment - to make a grinding disk from fiberboard and broken glass, which can be installed on grinding machines.

In this case, the author tests the grinding disk on a makeshift grinding machine made on the basis of a drill.

The first step is to obtain an abrasive of suitable grain size. For this, trimmings from sheet glass are used.

We place the scraps in a metal can, and put metal nuts in it. One press will be enough to grind glass.

The main stages of work

After the glass is crushed (the jar just needs to be shaken strongly), we sift it through a sieve of suitable diameter.

Then, from a piece of fiberboard, the author cuts out a circle of the required diameter, applies glue to it and distributes it evenly over the entire surface using a saw blade.

At the next stage, you will need to make a sprinkling of fragments of sifted broken glass.

Then the author pours the varnish on the middle of the disk, and with the help of a brush distributes it on the surface.

The grinding wheel is ready, now it only remains to install it on the grinding machine.

When working with this drive, be sure to use personal protective equipment!
