If you had to deal with problems with the operation of the windows - for example, the windows in the car do not close completely, then read this article.

In fact, there can be many causes of this malfunction, but first things first.

First of all, it will be necessary to retrain the windows. On many cars, the learning process is almost the same.

First, a reset is performed. To do this, just turn off the battery.

Then you need to raise the “off” button and hold it in this position until the glass closes completely.

Next, release the button and raise again, holding for at least 3 seconds.

To lower the glass, we do the same manipulations, but the button will need to be lowered down. And so - with every door of the car.

If retraining did not help

Sometimes when the windows work, the anti-clamp function is triggered. In the presence of a certain resistance arising in the process of raising the glass, the motor simply lowers it.

One of the reasons is the skew of the guides. Hinges that are responsible for raising the glass may also oxidize.

The carriage of the lifting bar can also be oxidized, which is why in most cases resistance appears.

To eliminate all these problems, the hinges and moving parts must be thoroughly rinsed using a carburetor cleaner.

To develop a power window mechanism, it will also be necessary to lubricate the hinges with engine oil.

After that, we wipe all excess oil dry and apply grease to the moving elements.

After such simple actions, the windows should work like clockwork. For a detailed overview, see this video.
