Painting walls is an easy and inexpensive way to refresh your room. Such a coating is easy to wash, it does not fade, and also represents a large scope for creativity.

Painting with the effect of decorative plaster is perfect for uneven walls. The texture will hide potholes and cracks.

You do not even need to apply putty first. The author of the video found a way to independently give the walls this interesting effect.

First you need to decide on the basic tone of the wall. It should be darker than all subsequent shades.

Dark gray color will be an excellent basis for any combination, and, in particular, metallic. You can tint the desired shades yourself or purchase ready-made paints.

It is best to first check the palette on a piece of plywood or a small section of the wall, so as not to be mistaken.

The main stages of work

Remove from the walls all traces of old paint or glue and walk on it with an impregnating primer. Now you can apply the main color.

The choice between a roller and a brush is only in your convenience. Yes, the brush will give an additional texture, but it will practically not affect the final result.

Acrylic dries quickly enough. When decorating the walls, each layer must be allowed to dry, otherwise the colors will be smeared, mixed together or even flow.

For the first two layers, gold and silver metallic are used. Caught under the pattern of other colors, they will give a very interesting effect of depth.

Crumple a regular plastic bag and spread the paint over it with your hands. Now you can fill the picture.

It is important to turn the package over on different sides and change its shape, otherwise the texture will consist of repeating elements, losing the effect of randomness.

After brilliant colors a layer of soft beige shade follows. And in the finale, a light gray color is applied. These paints must be chosen matte, unlike the first two.

The work is over. So, without acquiring special tools and materials, you can make a spectacular and stylish redecoration.

Similar equipment can also be used to color batteries, furniture, cornices and baseboards. It is only your imagination.
