If you have a gun for sealant in your garage or workshop, and you do not mind putting it "at a loss", then you can make a wire clamp out of it.

To remake a simple skeletal gun into a clamp, it will take about 15-20 minutes with smoke breaks.

First of all, we clamp the sealant gun in a vice and use a hand saw for metal to cut off part of the casing and studs.

The main stages of work

At the next stage, it will be necessary to sharpen the stud on the cone, and then using the same hacksaw for metal, you need to make a cut at the end for the wire.

After that, we collect all the parts for the sealant gun in the reverse order. In the case with the handle, we insert the fixing element with the spring, and then we insert the pin itself.

That's, in fact, all the work - the wire clamp is ready. Moreover, note that the holes in the case, which were originally there, will serve to fix the wire.

But if you suddenly come across a gun for sealant without such holes, then you will have to drill them yourself. It does not take much time.

With this home-made clamp, you can quickly tighten a wire clamp made of soft wire (copper or aluminum).
