In this review, the author tells and shows how to make an air blower (the so-called "wind turbine") from a car’s air conditioner, which can be useful in a garage and a home workshop.

For example, with its help you can quickly ventilate the room. You can also connect the supercharger to the blacksmith's furnace to inflate the coals.

By the way, if you are interested in how to make a solid fuel hearth with your own hands, read more about this here. In general, wherever you want to create an air flow, this homemade product will come in handy.

Design features

The air conditioner has a 12 Volt motor, so an additional transformer is needed. The regulatory element is a regular field-effect transistor. Here, a chain of resistor and capacitor is installed to absorb side resonances.

Also, the author decided to use an experimental board - a PWM DC controller to regulate the motor with pulse-width modulation.

Still need a powerful diode bridge and capacitor. Nothing more is needed, just make the case. You can use plywood for this.

Case manufacturing process

For the normal functioning of a homemade blower in the housing, you need to make an air intake hole. To do this, the master uses a manual milling cutter, but you can also do with a jigsaw.

At the next stage, the master proceeds with the assembly of the air blower housing and performs the installation of electrical elements. From a piece of 110 mm plastic pipe, the author made a pipe, which he secured in one of the walls of the casing.
