Compact semicircular shelves made of plastic plugs and scraps of plywood are an excellent budget solution for a home workshop or garage. As a mount, magnets are used.
They allow you to rationally use the free space inside the room and maintain order directly on the desktop.
You can make an organizer for hardware yourself, and this will require a minimum of time. With such shelves in your workshop, everything will be in place.
They are very easy to fix on a metal workbench - on the sides or in front. You can also fasten a sheet of tin to the wall above the desktop (or in some other place) and attach the shelves to this makeshift stand.
What is required for work
To make homemade shelves you will need the following materials:
- plastic plugs for sewer pipe with a diameter of 110 mm;
- small sticks carved from plywood or unnecessary wood trimmings;
- round neodymium magnets with holes in the center so that they can be screwed to the plugs with screws (ordinary magnets can also be used without holes - then they will need to be glued);
- tool: electric drill, screwdriver, grinder.
The main stages of work
The first step is to cut the plugs for the plastic pipe in half. In this case, the author uses four stubs, and as a result, eight shelves for hardware are obtained (however, their number may be more - how much you need).
Next, you need to cut blocks of plywood with a length of 110 mm, and then drill holes in the plugs and the bars themselves so that you can screw them onto the screws.
At the last stage, we fasten two neodymium magnets to the plywood. The author uses a bolt as a handle, which must be inserted into the drilled hole and secured with nuts on both sides.
