If you need to evenly and accurately cut a piece of pipe or some round billet on a band saw, it is convenient to use a simple clamp.
You can make it yourself from plywood. Also required are bolts and wing nuts. In general, the homemade product is very simple - it can be made in literally half an hour. Fastens to a directing emphasis.
The first step is to cut a piece of plywood 20 mm thick. Further, the author makes a marking and drills two holes on the drilling machine.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, it will be necessary to screw the screws into the holes drilled in plywood, but not completely. This is necessary so that the board can be attached to the standard guide conveyor stop of the band saw.
After that, in the plywood board, you need to drill two more holes with landing "nests" - under the bolts. Nor should the caps of the bolts protrude above the surface of the plywood. Screw the wing nuts on them.
Next, we drill another hole in the plank, into which we insert a long bolt. From a piece of plywood, the master makes a part for fixing pipes and round billets. This part is put on a long bolt and clamped with a wing nut.
