When pruning tall bushes or grapes from the ground, it is far from always possible to reach the desired branch. And the author suggests using home-made extension cord for garden secateurs with electric drive in such situations.

The main material for making homemade products is plastic (polypropylene pipe). You will also need a stud and some other details. As a drive, you can use a screwdriver.

First of all, it is necessary to solder the plug to the polypropylene pipe. First, you need to drill a hole for the stud in it.

Then, with the help of a drill, a slot is made in the pipe segment. You will also need to cut a piece of hairpin that is suitable for the length. Drill a hole in the elongated nut.

The main stages of work

The hairpin must be inserted into the polypropylene pipe and secured with nuts on the side where the plug is located. Screw two bolts into the drilled holes in the elongated nut wound on the stud.

Next, we insert one handle of the garden secateurs into the polypropylene pipe, and fasten the steel wire to the second one. The ends of the wire will need to be fixed on the bolts that are screwed into the holes in the elongated nut.

We insert the “tail” of the stud into the chuck of a screwdriver or electric drill, and you can proceed to pruning the branches. For details on how to make an extension cord for a garden secateurs with an electric drive, see the video on the website.
