Do you like to fry kebabs in the countryside somewhere outside the city or in the summer cottage, but you are not satisfied with the braziers assembled in haste and made of bricks or stones?

Then you can make your own practical camping grill from a professional pipe and sheet metal. It differs from classic barbecues in a slightly non-standard design.

First of all, with the help of a grinder, it will be necessary to cut the blanks from the profile of the desired size. Then the author welds a rectangular frame. Profile pipe used square section 15 * 15 mm.

The main stages of work

At the next stage of the work, you need to use a grinder or a plasma cutter to cut out the walls of the future barbecue. The thickness of the metal is 4 mm. Sliced workpieces are welded to the frame. The last sheet is not welded yet.

The front of the wall must be perforated. To do this, make markings, and then drill holes.

In the lower part of the back wall, it is necessary to cut out a “window” of a rectangular shape, which will be used as a blower. At this point, the author makes a shutter.

At the edges of the body in the lower and upper part, bolts are welded onto which the skewer stand will be attached. To make the stand itself, the master uses sheet metal.

Then it remains only to make the grill cover with a lamb and a retainer. Handles are welded on the sides of the body. You will also need to buy or make a stainless steel tray to collect fat.
