As the saying goes: a good master even uses waste for the future. And in this review, the author decided to share the idea of how to use plastic cable channel trim in the workshop and garage with benefit.

The idea itself is to make mini boxes for storing various hardware. They can be used to store taps, bolts with nuts, small drills, washers, dowels, screws, etc.

In general, all the small things can be divided into boxes so that the hardware is always at hand, and there is no need to look for them. Homemade drawers can be placed above the desktop or in any other place where it will be convenient for you.

The main stages of work

The first step is to cut the cable channel into blanks of the desired length. In this case, the length of the drawers is 120 mm. To do this, you can use a hacksaw, a jigsaw or, like the author, a band saw.

At the next stage, it is necessary to cut more blanks from plywood and plexiglass. From plywood, the author decided to make the back of the drawers, and from plexiglass - the front, so that you can see what hardware are inside.

In the center of each plexiglass blank, you need to drill a hole so that you can install the handle. After that, the parts are attached to the segments of the cable channel with screws.
