In this review, the master decided to make a miniature handsaw on wood. As a basis, a conventional hacksaw blade for metal is used (it is not necessary to spoil the whole blade, you can even take a chip).
The finished product can be used as a souvenir (gift) or as an original keyring, attaching an additional key ring and chain to it.
The first step is to cut off a piece of a hacksaw blade of suitable length with a grinder, and then give it the shape of a hand saw on wood. You don’t need to be particularly sophisticated - just cut off the upper part at an angle.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, it is necessary to cut a handle for a hand saw from a wooden block or piece of plywood - naturally, the same miniature. Having given it the desired shape, the author makes a cut under the hacksaw blade in the blank.
After that, the wooden handle will need to be glued together with the file using superglue or, for example, epoxy glue. After the glue has dried, the handle must be processed on a grinding machine or using a grinder with a grinding nozzle (flap wheel).
Then it remains only to drill a through hole in the wooden handle and expand it to the required size with a drill. The pen itself is then varnished (or you can just soak it with mineral oil).
