For better lighting of studio photo sessions, a soft box is used - a vertical stand on which a light source is attached. And it’s not necessary to buy it. A home-made stand for an LED lamp made of PP pipe will turn out no worse. But the main thing is cheaper.
To make the rack, you will need affordable and inexpensive materials: a polypropylene (PP) pipe with a diameter of 20 mm, a corner and a tee - 5 pieces each, a plug, a pipe clamp "quick installation" and others. You will also need a feather drill with a diameter of 20 mm, which we install in a drill, bench vise and knife.
To make a home-made stand for the lamp, we take a polypropylene tee for the pipe, clamp it in a vice and increase the inlet openings in diameter with a drill. We take a corner and also drill holes. We carry out the same manipulations with a stub.
The main stages of work
We begin to assemble a makeshift stand for the lamp from the base. To do this, take pre-prepared pipe segments and insert into the corner, put the other end into the tee, on the opposite side of which we insert another pipe segment, and close it with the corner.
Then we take two small pieces and insert into the second and third tees. We insert the resulting parts into the first corner and the tee. In the second corner we insert a larger pipe segment. Then we close the circuit with the same design as we assembled first. We insert a pipe into the middle tee.
At the next stage of work, we take the clamp and cut the dowel with a knife. At the LED spotlight weaken on both sides of the mount for the ability to turn the direction of the light stream. We fasten the clamp to the spotlight leg and fix them on the vertical tube of our rack.
From the tee in the center of the base, a part of the pipe goes up. Next, a tee and a long tube are attached, which is closed by a plug, and a spotlight is installed. We insert another part of the tube into the free hole of the tee, which goes horizontally and connects to the base with the other part of the tube through the corner.
A home-made stand for a lamp from a PP pipe is completely ready. Now with its help you can take pictures without glare under soft diffused lighting even at home and in the country. The result is a studio photography effect. This is how you can independently make a compact, convenient and collapsible software box.
