In a home workshop, in a summer cottage or in a private house, a simple trolley is useful for transporting goods. For example, on a makeshift mini-cart, you can transport sheets of drywall, plywood or OSB alone, as well as various dimensional products that are inconvenient to carry by yourself.

You can make a simple trolley for transporting goods from a piece of a channel and trimming a steel water pipe. These materials can be inexpensively purchased at any scrap metal collection point. Also for this homemade product you will need two wheels.

First of all, we cut off the water pipe and a piece of the channel of the required size. To mark the channel, we use a square and a scriber for metal. Then, with the help of a wire brush and a petal disk, it is necessary to clean the channel and pipe.

The main stages of work

We cut off a piece of a hairpin with a diameter of 16 mm and a length of 230 mm, after which we remove the chamfer on both sides using a petal wheel. Next, we wrap two M16 nuts on the stud, and then weld to the channel sole (in the middle).

We put two wheels on the stud and fix them with M16 nuts. A small piece of the rail must be welded to the channel end, which in this case will serve as a stop. In the pipe you need to make a slot, and then weld it to the rail.

At the last stage of work, it remains only to weld the stand from a piece of pipe and fittings, and paint the whole thing. See the video on the website for the step-by-step process of manufacturing a simple trolley for transporting goods from a piece of a channel.
