If you spend a lot of time in the garage (that you repair or cook metal), make yourself a metal suspension on rollers. This homemade product is useful to those who have a garage roof on beams or rails.

Metal suspension on casters (or on bearings) will save internal space in the garage. To make this homemade product you will need a piece of sheet metal 3-4 mm thick, four plates, pieces of a steel square, bolts and nuts.

First of all, we cut a piece of metal of rectangular shape with dimensions of the sides 10x15 cm. At the base of the suspension, we drill four through holes for hooks made of a square steel bar.

The main stages of work

Using a grinder, we cut four pieces of a trapezoidal shape from a thick plate. In the center of each element, we drill one through hole. Then we weld the "ears" obtained from the plates along the edges of the base. Welds need to be cleaned with a petal grinding wheel.

At the next stage of the work, we cut off four identical pieces of a square bar with a grinder, and bend them to make hooks. We weld them to previously drilled holes.

Then we insert bolts with nuts into the holes in the "ears" (or you can use bearings). We mount the finished structure on a rail or channel. For details on how to make a metal suspension on casters for a garage, see the video on the website.
