An alternative to the usual bedside table in the bedroom is a wooden shelf with a drawer, which is attached to the wall without taking up free space on the floor.
Also, such a hinged structure can be used in other residential premises as an original interior item or in a small home workshop - in the box you can store hand tools, nuts with bolts and various small things.
First, we take boards of suitable sizes, make a smooth edge (at an angle of 90 degrees) on a circular saw, then glue a wooden board, tighten with longs or long clamps and leave the glue to dry completely.
The main stages of work
After gluing, we level the surface of the shield with a manual plane, and then grind it with a grinding machine. Then we glue and process another wide board and two smaller boards in a similar way. Next, we trim the ends of the workpieces at an angle of 45 degrees on the circular.
In the end parts we make a shallow groove. At the next stage of work, we grease the ends with glue, insert a connecting rail made of wood into the groove and assemble a rectangular box, tighten with clamps. Next, from narrow wooden planks, we make overlays along the contour of the front panel of the hinged shelf.
At the last stage, from four boards we assemble the frame of the box, from the piece of fiberboard we make the bottom, and then we make the facade. Inside the main box, we make guides under the drawer. Then it remains only to paint and fix everything on the wall.
