To make a vacuum chamber with your own hands, which is useful for various epoxy crafts, you will need a conventional compressor from an old refrigerator, a thick-walled pan with a diameter of 27 cm, a piece of polycarbonate 10-20 mm thick, and a flexible high-pressure hose.

Using this vacuum chamber, you can make not only interesting homemade epoxy, but also small carbon products. In general, for those who like to craft something with their own hands, such a mini-camera is definitely useful. Moreover, it can be made from available materials.

The main stages of work

First, we cut off a part of the freon compressor copper tube with a hacksaw, and then attach a piece of high pressure hose about 2-3 meters long to the remaining “shorty” with a metal clamp.

Next, we make markings on a polycarbonate sheet, core and drill a hole with a diameter of 6 mm. Then we cut the thread in it. We screw the adapter onto the tee with an internal diameter of 12 mm into this hole. Another tee is screwed onto the tee, and two valves are installed at the edges.

Also, a pressure gauge must be connected to this mini-system. Next, we connect the end of the flexible hose to one of the valves and fix it with a metal clamp. On the sides of the pan we put a rubber seal. Install a polycarbonate sheet with fittings on top.

At the last stage of work, we connect the on / off switch to the compressor, and together with the pan we attach it to a sheet of plywood or MDF. Now the vacuum chamber is fully operational. As you can see, making it is very simple.
