You can create a small masterpiece with your own hands from the simplest things that are at hand. To make an original wall clock with a wooden dial, you will need a round billet of suitable diameter, cut from a sawn tree trunk, as well as a clock mechanism and some details from old wall clocks.

The main stages of work

As a template for this homemade product, we will use old Chinese round wall clocks. And the first thing they need to be disassembled into its constituent elements. We disassemble the plastic case and remove the clockwork with hands - these details will come in handy later for the manufacture of new watches.

From the log we cut off the plate of the required thickness. We cut it to the size of the plastic frame and grind it. Using the grinding disc, we make small grooves over the entire surface. Then we drill a hole in the center and select a "seat" under the clockwork.

The front surface of the wooden dial is covered with colorless spray varnish, and then proceed to assembly. We set the clockwork, fixing it with hot melt adhesive. Next, we fasten the dial to the plastic frame removed from the old watch.

Finishing touch and done!

Using a standard dial, we make markings for plastic numbers (they can be ordered on the Internet), which we attach to a wooden surface using decorative studs. Then set the arrows and put on the metal rim. The result is a wall-mounted combined clock made of wood and plastic that will decorate any interior.
