Any workshop should always have order. And not only in terms of cleanliness in the workplace, but also when storing tools so that they are always at hand. In this article, we will consider the idea of making a single or multi-tiered stand for convenient storage of dice.

Such a stand can be made of plexiglass, aluminum, as well as hardwood and other materials. Most of the work is done on a lathe. But you will also need a power drill. If desired, such a stand can be made completely by hand.

The process of making the stand

From a piece of plexiglass (or other material), we first cut a round part of a suitable diameter. Then it needs to be processed on a lathe, after which we drill a through hole in the center. We fasten the workpiece to the table and with the help of a feather drill around the entire circumference we make holes with a diameter of 20 mm for the dies.

To make it easier to get the dies from the "nest", you can grind part of the round stand on a lathe. Thus, on the side of each hole there will be an additional “window”, so that the dies can be pried with a finger and easily removed.

If more space is needed for storing dice, additional tiers can be made. To do this, you will need to think through options for their fastening. The detailed process of manufacturing a round stand for storing dice, see the video on our website.
