Not a traditional ingredient for grape jam, only recently it is gaining wide popularity, because, as it turned out, it is a tasty and healthy delicacy, which is a pleasure to cook.

Main components

Contrary to popular belief, not only wine can be made from grapes, but also sweet desserts for the winter. To prepare a delicious grape jam, you will need the following set of products:

  • seedless grapes - 1 kg;
  • granulated sugar - 600-700 grams;
  • fresh lemon - 1 pc;
  • dried cloves - 2 pcs;
  • vanillin - 1 sachet;
  • water - 100 ml.

Instead of lemon, you can use citric acid, however, to preserve the "zest", it is recommended to leave the classic jam recipe unchanged. The perfect combination of these ingredients allows you to get unique taste and pronounced aroma.

Recipe

First you need to make syrup - mix granulated sugar with water and bring to a boil. Grapes need to be sorted and washed under running water. Pour grape berries with boiling syrup, and leave for 30 minutes so that they are well saturated. Then the grapes in syrup must again be brought to a boil and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Let the grape jam cool for about five hours. You must repeat this operation three times.

Before the last stage of cooking, add vanillin, cloves and half a lemon with a peel. Mix everything and put on a small fire - cook for fifteen minutes. Cinnamon can be added for flavor. Ready grape jam should be transferred to a sterilized jar, covered with a lid and left under a towel until completely cooled. A delicious treat for the winter is ready!
