Knitted cactus

A crochet hook invented genius - not otherwise! With this simple tool, you can literally make anything, not even counting items of clothing, bedspreads, napkins and other similar things for comfort. For a magical transformation, you need to have only a few components: imagination, threads of the desired color and the ability to knit with an ordinary column.
To create a cactus I was prompted by the request of the godson. He really wanted to look after such a flower, but due to his young age, access to thorny and beating objects was closed to him. And I thought that the thorns could be replaced with beads, and the ceramic pot with knitted ones. No sooner said than done!
The beginning of the future cactus is a chain knitted from four loops connected in a ring. This very ring is tied with columns.
The first row of columns in a circle, the second, third and so on ... By adjusting the number of columns in circular rows, adding and decreasing them, we give the future objects of our pride (both a pot and a cactus - in turn) the desired shape.
When a ready-made green “little chёcholchik” comes out from under the hook, we just have to fill it with a synthetic winterizer, close it with a knitted or fabric bottom sewn from the bottom and decorate it with decorative needles - beads.
Remembering that cacti can bloom, I added a few more details to my craft. And in order to make flowers and buds look like real ones, I knitted them from the thinnest threads - from those with which they usually only sew.
I will make a reservation that buds are also ordinary knitting in columns in a circle. Flowers can be knitted as you like. My cactus blooms with traditional bundled chains.
The cactus that I presented to my godson almost turned into a needle bed for his mother. And so that the child was not left without the coveted toy, I had to hurry up to knit another one. Then one more for myself. And one more, second, third - for friends who saw such a new thing on one of my shelves. In a word, if you do not know how to please a hostess or a child, please them with knitted cacti. Checked: a win-win option!
