In this review, the author shows how to make a universal carriage for a grinder (angle grinder) with a saw or a cutting disc and another tool: a knife and a glass cutter.

For the manufacture of this home-made device you will need: bolts with nuts, bearings, a profile pipe of square and rectangular cross-section, a metal strip and some other details.

First of all, the author cuts off four pieces of a square-shaped profile pipe from which the carriage will be made. Drill holes in the marked areas in the blanks.

To two of the four blanks, as well as to a piece of a profile pipe of rectangular cross section, the author welds the nuts, having previously welded them to each other.

The main stages of work

To the rectangular professional pipe, the author welds 2 plates with holes - for mounting the grinder.

After that, it is necessary to weld a stand from a professional pipe to a rectangular profile, to which a metal plate is then welded with a nut welded to it, into which the bolt is screwed.

At the next stage, the author makes mounts for the glass cutter and knife, so that these tools can be quickly mounted to the carriage.

When all the parts are ready, we take bolts, bushings, bearings and proceed to assembly. First, the bearings and profile pipes will need to make a carriage.

We collect two halves of the carriage and connect them to each other. We install the carriage on the guide (profile pipe, which is attached to the table) and attach the desired "nozzle": a grinder, glass cutter or knife.
