In this review, the author shares a simple idea for the garage and home workshop - how to make automatic stops for fixing workpieces on a workbench.

To implement this idea, you will need, in fact, the wooden workbench itself, a couple of bars and automatic spring-magnetic clips that are used in the manufacture of furniture.

First of all, it will be necessary to make landing "nests" of a square shape in a workbench for wooden emphasis. The holes must be blind.

If you are just thinking about making a carpentry workbench, then it is advisable to immediately provide holes in the countertop.

The main stages of work

At the next stage, it will be necessary to saw the workpiece from wooden blocks. Moreover, they should freely enter the hole (that is, there should be a small gap between the walls of the hole and the bar).

Further in the center of each bar, it is necessary to drill blind holes for spring-magnetic clips. First you need to make a “beacon” of electrical tape on the drill, to what depth to drill.

Well, then everything is simple - we insert furniture clips into the holes in the bars, and we insert the bars into the holes in the workbench. By pressing a finger on the bar, the emphasis will come out of its "nest".

By pressing it again, we recess it into the countertop, and the emphasis becomes flush with the surface of the table. Simple and convenient.

Details on how to make such an emphasis with your own hands, you can see in the video on the site.
