To connect the kitchen hood with the ventilation duct, a plastic box is usually used, which can be bought at the store. However, if you do not fix it properly, then over time it can simply fall on the cabinet. There is nothing wrong with that, but it’s not pleasant either.
In this review, we bring to your attention a very simple and practical way of attaching a ventilation duct in an apartment and a house. This will require plastic brackets, a strip of metal and a piece of profile pipe. For fasteners, self-tapping screws are used.
First of all, it will be necessary to determine the necessary number of mounts themselves (how many of them will be required depends directly on the length of the ventilation duct).
In this case, the author makes only three fixtures - this amount is enough for him (you may have more or less). Then you need to cut the workpiece: for each fastener you will need two pieces of strip and a section of the profile pipe.
The main stages of work
We cut two pieces of a strip of metal and drill holes in them (at the edges). Then it will be necessary to cut a piece of the profile pipe. All three pieces must be welded together. The mount for the box is ready, now we proceed directly to the installation of the entire structure.
We mark on the wall the places where you need to drill mounting holes. Then we hammer into the holes of the dowel. We fasten the plastic brackets for the ventilation duct to the mount, and then fasten the mount itself to the wall.
At the last stage, it remains only to install the plastic box itself. Additionally, you can screw the brackets to the box (for greater reliability).
