In this review, the author suggests making a do-it-yourself simple support stand for a car from a profile pipe. With its help, you can easily change the wheel or repair the suspension.
For the manufacture of this device, the following materials will be needed: a piece of sheet metal with a thickness of 6 mm, a profile of 30 * 30 mm and a profile of 25 * 25 mm, as well as an angle of 32 * 32 mm and a pair of M12 bolts.
The first thing you need to do from a piece of sheet metal is to cut two identical blanks of a rectangular shape. This can be done both with a grinder and with a band saw.
The main stages of work
Further, from the profile pipe 30 * 30 mm in size, it is necessary to cut two workpieces 18 cm long. Also, it will be necessary to cut another pair of workpieces of the same length, but already from the profile 25 * 25 mm.
At the next stage, the author cuts another piece of the profile pipe 30 * 30 mm 230 mm long, on the edges of which two pieces of the profile 25 * 25 mm, which were previously cut, should be welded.
Next, two plates from a profile of 30 * 30 mm with a length of 180 mm must be welded on a metal plate with a thickness of 6 mm.
After that, it will be necessary to weld a piece of the building corner to the horizontal jumper from the profile. In vertical profiles, the author drills holes so that you can adjust the height of the rack.
