The drilling machine is bulky and heavy unit, so it is advisable for him to provide a personal table or a compact cabinet. We will make of metal - pieces of building corners.

If the corners are rusty or previously used, you must first clean them with a grinder with a petal circle or a metal brush.

To make a home-made cabinet you will need 4 corners of two meters (thickness 4 mm). This will be enough. The height of the structure will be 825 mm.

We make a drawing of the curbstone and all the details, indicating their size and quantity. Then we cut the corner into blanks according to the drawing. Having cut a corner, we immediately remove all burrs to make it more convenient to work.

The main stages of work

Using masking tape, you need to make cut lines at the corners for a better fit of the parts. Next, a template is made - it will be easier to weld on it. To do this, you can use a piece of tabletop made of chipboard, plywood or something else.

In this case, a size of 520x350 mm is required. A file on a tree should work out the edges of the template so that the corner fits tightly.

Mark and trim parts of the corners. Getting to welding. So, one frame is ready. By the same principle, we make two more frames. Please note: the legs will be located in the corners, so it is not necessary to weld the outer seams.

In the center it will be necessary to weld the support for the shelf. The shelf is made taking into account the configuration of the machine. Then it remains only to clean the seams from welding and paint the structure. At the last stage of work, the frame is screwed onto long bolts.

The stand for the drilling machine turned out to be durable and convenient, even a novice master can easily make it. In detail about how to make a metal cabinet with your own hands, you can see in the video on the site.
