In order to make round sticks of the same diameter at home, it is not necessary to use a lathe for this. It is enough to make a conductor for round sticks from a piece of steel pipe. In order not to twist the workpieces with your hands, you can use an electric drill.

Having picked up a piece of a round pipe of suitable diameter, it is possible to produce sticks of the required diameter. Small sticks can be used when assembling furniture as dowels, while large ones are perfect for making holders for country equipment.

The main stages of work

First, we cut a piece of about 15-20 cm in length from a round pipe of the desired diameter (it can be longer). A shorter length of pipe length will not work, because during the rotation the wooden workpiece will vibrate strongly, which, in turn, will not have the best effect on the final result.

On one side of the pipe we cut off the excess metal with a grinder, so that in the end we get two "teeth" of a rectangular shape. Next, we make oblique cuts to get cutting teeth, like on a hacksaw. Bend them in different directions.

We bend two high “teeth” in opposite directions and rotate the propeller. The conductor for round sticks is ready. Now all that remains is to make a simple “adapter” to the electric drill, with which the wooden workpieces will be fixed in the drill chuck.
