An ordinary wooden tabletop of round or rectangular shape today is not particularly surprising. But if you use wood for its manufacture in combination with epoxy, you get a truly original surface that harmonizes with almost any interior.
Countertops made of raw wood look very nice. Make it simple enough. For this, you can use, for example, three pieces of unedged boards with an overview of different lengths. The only thing that needs to be done is to level and polish the front surface.
Then a round formwork is made, inside of which the boards are placed, and then they are poured in 2-3 steps with a transparent epoxy resin diluted with a hardener. Proportions for mixing are better to use those that are recommended directly by the manufacturer.
Countertop processing
After the resin has completely hardened, we disassemble the formwork. The surface must be sanded to remove possible irregularities, and then polished so that it looks perfect. For polishing, you can use a special disc nozzle for the grinder and car paste, which is used to polish the body.
It is necessary to polish a surface step by step - for several approaches. Squeeze a small amount of paste onto the countertop and process one area. Then again we apply a little paste and process another area. We polish until the surface is perfectly smooth and transparent.
