Crafting with your own hands useful homemade products that are useful in the household (for example, a box of plywood) is not only pleasant, but also a useful activity. In a wooden box with a hinged lid and a latch, you can store various necessary trifles.
This is extremely convenient, because everything will be in one place, and not scattered on the table or in the corners of the workshop. At the same time, the cost of this homemade product is very small - only plywood, glue, self-tapping screws, hinges and a latch will be required from the basic materials.
The process of making a box with a lid
To make a box, first of all, it is necessary to cut off four blanks of the required size from the plywood (that is, the four side walls), as well as the bottom and the cover. Then we make a marking on the walls and choose a spike groove for a more reliable connection.
After sawing, the edges of the plywood are processed with a hand file to smooth out the "ragged" edges that remain after the circular. Then we glue all four side walls of the box, fastening them with F-shaped clamps. After gluing, we grind the surface.
At the next stage, we glue the bottom and for greater reliability we fasten it with self-tapping screws, having previously drilled holes of the desired diameter. The lid of the wooden box will be hinged, so we attach it to two furniture hinges.
