Plastic bottles with varnish, paint or other "chemistry" that are stored for a long time in the workshop or garage, it is far from always possible to open with your hands - especially if you opened them earlier, since the cork dries tight.

Using a standard gas key in this case is impractical, since it is of little use - the lips constantly slide off, scroll, and there is no result. To quickly and without any problems unscrew the dried plug on PET, you first need to make a simple device.

Manufacturing process

To make this household tool, you need a wooden board with a thickness of about 50-60 mm. It is best if this board is made of solid wood - for example, in this case, you can use a leg from Soviet furniture.

We retreat from the edge of the wooden blank approximately 28-30 mm, and then make a mark under the hole with a diameter of 30 mm. The hole itself is best drilled with a pen drill. Then it is necessary to saw the workpiece in the center (in the longitudinal direction) into two halves.

Also for this homemade product you will need to use two strips of thick rubber (best suited with perforation) 28 mm wide, which must be glued to wooden blanks. Then we fasten the furniture hinge to the end part of the tool handles with the help of self-tapping screws.

Summarize the work

With the help of such a simple constructively made homemade device, you can quickly unscrew absolutely any dried-up cork on PET from under varnish, paint, stain and other "problematic" compounds. See the step-by-step stages of work and the use of this homemade product in the video on the site.
