If you have a broken starter lying around in your garage, do not rush to throw it away, but use it in creating the tool. The main parts that are needed from the starter are a shaft with splines and a mating part of the bendix.
The material chosen for the crafts is strong enough and can withstand shock loads, which involves a screwdriver. When the shaft is pressed out of the rotor, and all the excess is cut off from the bendix, you can make a housing according to their size. A piece of steel pipe is suitable for the body, which must be cut to size.
The design also includes a tetrahedron from a standard set with heads and a return spring. A piece of bendix with slots is welded to the end of the tube, after which a spring and a rod consisting of the axis of the anchor and the tetrahedron are placed there.
