Will need
For manufacturing you will need:
- 6V solar battery
- Voltage Regulator 7805.
- Micro USB port.
- Heat shrink wires.
Of the tools we only need a soldering iron, knife or scissors.
I bought all components on Ali Express. There are a lot of options to choose from, you can experiment with the sizes of solar cells or choose a different connector if you, for example, have an iPhone.
Assembly process
Solder to the plus and minus on the battery wires.
Solder another negative one in parallel. Now the positive wire must be connected to the extreme leg of the stabilizer, and the negative wire at the junction with the central one.
We connect the free leg to the extreme contact of the USB port. Solder the remaining wire to the second side contact of the connector.
Before assembly, it is necessary to put on shrink wires in advance.
After soldering, they need to be heated with a hairdryer or a simple lighter.
The presence of tweezers and a magnifying glass on hand will facilitate the work, since all parts have small dimensions and the distance between the contacts. This also applies to the size of the soldering iron tip - the smaller the better.
We insert the connector into the socket of the smartphone, we place the battery in the sunlight.
The discharge is on. The device is ready to go!
Now it’s a good idea to fix this charge on the back of the case or case of a cell phone or other device. This can be done using double-sided tape or hot glue. Using thin wiring, hold power inward under the cover. For compactness, use the small-sized chip housing of the stabilizer 7805, then you can carefully mount everything inside.
Now the charger will be impossible to forget at home, and the charging process will become even easier. In cloudy weather, it does not work as we would like, but it still works. But it is worth noting that you can no longer charge your device while on the beach or in the forest, especially for free.
