You probably found yourself in this position - fixed the drill motionless, put on the nozzle, and try to sharpen the hoe or ax. You want to make several impulse inclusions, but for this you need to remove one hand and press the button.

Of course, this is not very convenient. Especially when you have to work with a drill with a flexible shaft. Having assembled a foot pedal button, like a sewing machine, from simple materials at hand, you will greatly facilitate the process of working with power tools.

For this homemade product you will need several blanks of plywood 10 mm thick, a piece of wire, two loops, an iron corner 50 * 50 mm, a paper clip, an on / off button, PVA and some other materials.

The main stages of work

First of all, we assemble the pedal case from two identical plywood boards by screwing furniture hinges to them. The bottom plate will be the base of the pedal, and the top will be the pressure part. Instead of a return spring, the master uses a paper clip. Screw it to the platform with screws.

On the sides of the base we plant two plywood corners on the PVA, in height just below the button. They will hold back the pedal. We compress the structure with clamps, let the glue dry. Fasten with screws.

We insert the socket into a wooden slip. The back side of the box is provided for it. On the side panel, insert the power connector into the hole, as on a computer.

Inside, we connect the wires, create an open circuit through the button, then connect the outlet and put it in place. Our adapter pedal is ready.

Through this makeshift device you can control any power tool. At the same time, hands remain free, and there is no need to be distracted by the search for a plug or button.
